Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I had always had a passion for art. I can remember watching my grandmother drawing portraits on the ironing board for the neighbors as extra income while I played with my toys below her. I was intrigued by what she could do and later came to find a love of drawing portraits myself. Early in my high school career, an art teacher suggested I take a darkroom photography class. I was hooked immediately. I was placed in an advanced class, and then later awarded a photography scholarship to a local community college. But I took a break from my art at 22, when I decided to move North and partner with my sister to open The Blue Door Pub in Kewaunee Wisconsin. I owned and operated the pub alongside her for 8 years before deciding I needed that feeling of creating art back in my life. In 2015, I decided to leave the pub and pursue a degree in Graphic Design. As of December 2018, I've obtained my degree in Design and Graphic Technology at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, where I learned the latest skills in the Adobe Programs. After talking with me and viewing my work at the NWTC Digital Arts Fest, I was offered a job at Creative Sign Company in which I accepted. It feels good to be once again surrounded by creative individuals and I know this is the world in which I belong.
